Carboxytherapy Used for Stretch Marks
A procedure called ‘Carboxytherapy’ is showing great promise by softening stretch marks using increased blood flow to the stretch mark regions and allowing them to constrict and contract, thus blending them better with the surrounding healthy skin. Up until recently, most stretch marks were pretty much untreatable. But by injecting very small amounts of carbon dioxide gas just below the surface of the skin, the procedure tricks it into increasing blood circulation to the treated area. Carboxytherapy is also being used with great success as a treatment for dark under eye circles, cellulite and stretch mark smoothing and removal.
